Calling environmentalists …
If you have nothing planned for the next 12 months and you are interested in volunteering for Alter Nativa, an environmental NGO in Slovakia, a position is available from July 2012. This will be funded under the European Voluntary Service (EVS) which is part if the Youth in Action Program. If you are British or legally resident in the UK, ELSA can act as your Sending Organisation for EVS. If you do not live in the UK, you must find a Sending Organisation in your own country.
What does EVS cover?
- 90% of your return fares from home to the host project
- Accommodation, food, mentoring, training and language courses (if required) should be provided by the host.
- Monthly or weekly pocket money (it is not a salary!)
- Insurance to cover things like sickness, accidents, civil liability
- visa and / or vaccination costs (if necessary)
- Environment, Permaculture, Seedsaving and
- Sustainable rural development

DETAILS
The project will last for 12 months from 15 July 2012 – 14 July 2013. The activities include natural building (old houses reconstruction), fruit orchards revitalisation, animal care, keeping/creating permaculture garden, organising permaculture and natural building courses/workshops etc.
