Meet @ Southbank station (Jubilee Line) 9am. Walk to court. Arrive at court by 9.15am. Pass through security. Please note, no weapons, drugs or cameras. Mobiles must be switched off.  

 

Education Officer, Ben Woolcott will conduct tour of court (video room, judges' library, court room including judge's entrance, etc) and give brief history of court system. You will be given the court lists for today with details of all matters being heard. This will allow you to pick and choose which courtroom you want to sit in.

 

Judge Pillay will take Q&A session before he starts summing up his case.  You may stay for the summing up. He will explain points of law and outline the facts of the case to the jury. The trial is already over. After listening to the judge's summation, the jury will retire  to deliberate. It is they who will decide whether the defendent is guilty or not.

Q&A session with His Honour Judge Pillay. Chance to sit in any of the courts ato witness matters. You wil be given a handout with the days' listings. Court 2, day 3 of Possession of Class A w/intent to supply case. D in witness box, cross examination, closing statements of prosecution an defence counsel. Directions.
