ELSA London Parties

Following on from the hugely successful pre-Christmas bash at Cafe de Paris which was attended by 400+ people, ELSA London has decided to host regular parties in an effort to encourage more fraternisation between law students and young lawyers from different London colleges and universities. We will host these parties in top London clubs but we won't ever charge top London prices. Our first party this year will be held at Opium in two weeks (16/3/06). Opium is a smaller venue than Cafe so this time we will only be selling 200 tickets. Again, ELSA Members will be charged £5 while non-members will have to pay £7. Those who are unable to get a ticket may be added to the guestlist but will have to pay £8 - £10 on the door (Usual Opium price £15).

 

We have secured a drinks deal especially for our guests - Selected Single Vodka will be charged at £2 and double shots will be £3.50. A selected bottled beer will be priced at £2. For those in a more expansive mood, you will be able to buy a Magnum of Champagne for the price of a normal bottle (approx. £48). This is in effect a 50% saving!

 

We have also secured a deal on tables in the VIP area. You will need to book these tables in advance so please make this clear when you order/pay for your tickets. If you wish to have a table, the minimum spend has been reduced by 50% to £25 per head. This minimum will need to be secured with a credit card or paid in cash before drinks are served!

Behaviour: This is a members' club so don't arrive drunk as you won't be let in.

Drinks with ELSA Gdansk (15/12/05)

ELSA Gdansk are currently visiting us here in London and would love to socialise with some fellow ELSA members before they head back home on Friday. With this in mind, they would like to meet up on Thursday evening (15/12) at 9pm in a pub called Knight's Templar in Chancery Lane. I know many of you are struggling to finish assignments but if you want to get the most out of being an ELSA member you should try to take advantage of the many possibilities for international intercourse (NOT in the biological sense!) that our Association can provide.

I sincerely hope at least a few of you will be prepared to meet these students and show that ELSA London are a friendly and hospitable group.

Post Graduate Global Christmas Party
