LLM Scholarships at Queen Mary

 

Queen Mary, University of London's School of Law, comprising the Department of Law (Dept) and the Centre for Commercial Studies (CCLS), has just announced the following LLM scholarships:

 

Four Department of Law scholarships covering full tuition fees available for Home/EU students and two for Non-EU students pursuing course work in:

 

· Environmental Law
· European Law
· Public Law
· Public International Law
· Medical Law
· Legal Theory and History
· Human Rights Law
· Competition Law
· Law and Development

 


Students who wish to take a general LLM must choose any three modules from the areas mentioned above to qualify for the Department scholarship.

Centre for Commercial Law Studies

 

Three covering full tuition fees available for Home/EU students and three for non-EU students wishing to take any three commercial law subjects under a General LLM or who wish to specialise in the following:

 

· Commercial and Corporate Law
· Banking and Finance Law
· Tax Law
· Comparative and International Dispute Resolution
· Computer and Communications Law
· Economic Regulation
· Intellectual Property Law
· International Business Law

 


Opportunities in Law Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Unlike other School of Law Scholarships, Opportunities in Law Scholarships are not dependent upon students completing a particular course of study while on the LLM.

 

 

 

Queen Mary Alumni Partial Scholarships (For QM LLB Graduates on or prior to 2009)

 

The School of Law will be offering six LLM Queen Mary alumni partial scholarships for either the full time or part time LLM worth up to £1,000 for LLB graduates of Queen Mary, University of London (Home/EU applicants only). If applying on a part time basis, successful candidates will have this award deducted from their first year fee.

 

These awards are aimed at students who successfully graduate from our LLB programme on or prior to 2009. Alumni Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Unlike other School of Law Scholarships, Law Alumni Scholarships are not dependant upon students completing a particular course of study while on the LLM.

 

 MSc in Law and Finance Bursaries

The Department of Economics and the School of Law are offering five bursaries worth £3,000 each to outstanding home/EU and
overseas candidates. These bursaries will be deducted from tuition fees payable to the college and are not paid directly to successful applicants.

 

There is no separate application form. All students who have been offered admission to the MSc Law and Finance at Queen Mary, University of London (either conditional or unconditional) prior to, or on, the 14 May 2010 are automatically considered for a bursary.
