Macedonia traineeship
N.B. Members should email ELSA London STEP for application and more info
Brief DescriptionThis traineeship will take place in a law firm in Skopje. It is open to both undergraduate and graduates (there is no limitation) While some knowledge of German or Austrian law is preferred, applicants will still be considered without this. The salary for the trainee will be 230 euros which is great because the average Macedonian salary is 200 euros - so with this money the trainee can live very happily
There may be the possibility for the trainee to live with an ELSA member from Macedonia in which case they will be able to share the accommodation costs (to be confirmed). If this is not possible, ELSA Republic of Macedonia will help the ttrainee to find the cheapest possible accommodation.
ELSA Republic of Macedonia can also provide you with useful travel information any time you need
Something about the law firm
Although this is a new law firm, the owner has an extensive legal background and has worked with (and still works with) USAID in the Republic of Macedonia where he was responsible for making the contracts between Republic of Macedonia and the Council of Europe. He also has really good connections with an important law firm from Italy.
The trainee here will have an opportunity to learn from an experienced lawyer who is working in the field of Contract law more then 8 years, and to do that in a completely new office with full equipment and great young colleagues...
The placement will be 3 or 4 weeks. Earliest start date 1st April 2008, latest end date 15th May 2008.
DEADLINE for applications is Saturday 15th March 2008. STEP is only available to ELSA members.
